Wind Turbine
Homes across Scotland are already benefiting from having installed a Wind Turbine through Icon Energy.
Our range of Proven Energy turbines can offer you a return on investment of between 15-33%.
We currently offer the Proven 7, Proven 11 and Proven 35-2, however we will soon be offering a 50kW system as well.
We also offer the Swift Rooftop turbine, The Swift Rooftop Wind Energy System is the world’s first aerodynamically silent building mountable 1.5kW micro-wind turbine. It has been designed specifically to meet the demands of small wind and on-site usage. The emphasis of the design process has focused on safety, reliability, ease of operation and high performance levels.

Testimonials from Proven Energy Wind Turbine customers
"We are extremely happy with the current performance of our two Proven 35-2 wind turbines. We've seen 24,000 kWh out of them in only two months, which actually exceeds our expectations".
Mr John Scott, Farm Owner
Muirhead Farm, Scotland
“The Proven Energy wind turbines dont roar away but swish gently. Most of the time it is inaudible because of noise generated by the wind blowing”.
Mr Tim Cotter, Energy Advisory Office
Falkland Islands
“Powering Rainham Marshes with renewable energy not only shows out commitment to tackling climate change, it demonstrates the important role renewables play in delivering our future energy needs. The RSPB is often most vocal when objecting to wind turbine proposals, however as demonstrated by a recent IEEP study commissioned by the RSBP, wind power does have a valuable role to play in contributing towards the UK’s future energy needs, and can do so without harming wildlife. The Proven Energy wind turbine at Rainham Marshes is an excellent example of this".
Mr Nick Bruce-White, Manager
RSPB Rainham Marshes
"Installing the Proven 11 was fantastic and something that I would do again in future developments. I didn't know much about wind turbines but now realise that it was the best thing to do both economically and environmentally."
"In the first two years of having the turbine, my electricity bills were minimal with 50% of the power going to the house and 50% exported back to the national grid. This meant that I wasn't only saving money but earning it too."
"My next plan is to convert the other part of the Herders Inn into a second house and I would like to have a turbine to power this too. I was thinking of putting a cafe on this site too so having a fully green development with businesses and houses powered by renewable energy would be marvellous."
Richard Waddington, Property Development
Lancashire
"The wind turbine is not noisy- you have to be reasonably close to it to hear it. It's great to know that the wind is paying the electricity bill."
Alex Rankin
Fyvie Golf Course, Aberdeenshire
"I would just like to say how satisfied I am with the installation of my wind turbine."

Spring Green Nurseries, Wakefield
